Technical cooperation

Since its establishment, ONAS has endeavoured to strengthen partnership, cooperation and exchange ties with similar institutions of the neighbouring countries as well as to developing further cooperation opportunities on the international, Arab and African levels, which have been confirmed by the signing of technical cooperation agreements.

Objectives of technical cooperation :
capacity development to design new technologies in the field of sanitation (sewerage, wastewater treatment);
keeping pace with technological innovations on the international level;
cooperation with the countries interested in O.N.A.S. activities;
 benefiting from financing opportunities available for the environmental sector;
making visible ONAS capacities and expertise in the field of combating water pollution.

Technical assistance :
ONAS conducts dedicated studies and operations on behalf of similar institutions, upon request by the said institutions, and this on such fields as:
treatment of wastewater, and sanitation technologies;
operation of wastewater treatment plants and sewerage networks;
operation of sanitation facilities;
maintenance and control of sanitation facilities;
treatment and management of industrial effluents;
 projects study and planning of sanitation facilities;
planning and supervision of construction;
financial and organisational aspects, and modes of administrative management;
 supervision of the study and implementation of wastewater disposal projects;
  exchange of information, expertise and visits.
